KBO picks and predictions
Sunday’s five-game slate will feature some lopsided matchups that offer value. Let’s dive into the day’s best bets.
SK Wyverns/Doosan Bears Under 10.5 Runs (-122)
Starting this game for the Wyverns will be Won-seok Oh. He will be making his first start of the season after making just four appearances out of the bullpen. He has yet to allow a run, but has just 4.2 innings of work.
Duk-joo Ham will be the starter for the Bears, another guy making his first start. He has much more bullpen experience however, having gone 3-1 with an ERA of 3.72.
The under is now 5-0 in the last head to head meetings between these teams, so I do not expect a very high scoring game. The Wyverns’ offense is just way too inconsistent, so backing them to keep up seems a little far fetched.
LG Twins Money Line (-138)
Looking to fade Adrian Sampson for the Lotte Giants here as he is 5-7 with an ERA of 6.35. He has especially been bad against the Twins, going 0-2 against them with an ERA of 13.03.
On the other side is Chan-gyu Lim. He is 8-5 with an ERA of 3.95. He has yet to face the Giants this season, which could give him an early advantage seeing that the Lotte lineup have not seen his stuff.
The Twins have won three of their last five with two draws as well, so they are playing well. I cannot trust Sampson here, so I will back the Twins to continue playing well.
Kia Tigers/Hanwha Eagles Over 8.5 Runs (-128)
We will be looking for runs here and picking on the recent performances of these two pitchers. Aaron Brooks will be the guy for the Tigers and Shi-hwan Yang for the Hanwha Eagles. Brooks is 8-4 with a 2.68 ERA, while Yang is 3-10 with a 4.72 ERA.
Brooks however, has allowed 12 runs over his last four starts, while Jang has allowed 14 runs over his last four starts. The over is 3-0 in Kia’s last three games and they are averaging 5.6 runs over their last five games. I will look for the pitchers to struggle an allow enough to push this total over.
For those of you looking for bigger payouts, play the best bets as a three-team parlay, which pays +459.
