KBO picks and predictions
Sunday’s five-game slate will feature some lopsided matchups that offer value. Let’s dive into the day’s best bets.
LG Twins -1.5 Run Line (-118)
I will be looking to back the Twins with a pretty good pitcher in Casey Kelly. He has been one of their better pitchers this season, posting an ERA of 3.58. His last four starts have been extremely solid, allowing four runs over his last 24.0 innings.
Min-soo Kim will start for the KT Wiz, and he has not quite fared as well. Just 3-7 on the season, Kim has an ERA of 6.00. His last four starts have seen him allow 14 runs over his last 19.1 innings.
Doosan -1.5 Run Line (+104)
Chris Flexen will be on the mound for the Doosan Bears here. Flexen is 4-4 on the season with an ERA of 3.92. His last five starts have been solid as well, allowing eight runs over his last 22.0 innings.
The Heroes will turn to Hyun-hee Han, who has not fared as well as his opponent. Han is 7-8 on the season with an ERA of 5.01. The main concern with Han is his track record against Doosan. Though he has just one start against them this season, he allowed 10 runs over 1.2 innings. The pitching advantage looks to be too strong for the Twins so I will back them to win by multiple runs.
Lotte Giants Money Line (-122)
Given this price, we have to look to the Giants here with Dan Straily on the mound. He has been one of their better pitchers this season, posting a record of 11-4 and his ERA is 2.66. His last two starts have seen him allow just one run over 12.0 innings.
Hyun-jong Yang will start for the Kia Tigers and he is 8-7 with an ERA of 4.64. His last two starts have been solid as well, allowing three runs over his last 11.0 innings.
Still, at this short of a price, the only way to look is Straily and the Giants given his overall work this season.
For those of you looking for bigger payouts, play the best bets as a three-team parlay, which pays +585.
