KBO picks and predictions

Sunday’s five-game slate will feature some lopsided matchups that offer value. Let’s dive into the day’s best bets.

LG Twins Moneyline (-124)

The Twins did lose on Saturday morning, but will look to bounce back on Sunday. Starting this game for them will be Tyler Wilson. He is 6-5 on the season, posting an ERA of 4.02. Wilson has looked better as of late, allowing 12 runs over his last 29 innings (five starts), which translates to an ERA of 3.76. He also has not allowed more than three runs in any of these starts.

Kiwoom will plan to start Seung-ho Lee. He is 2-4 on the year with a 5.79 ERA. His last five starts have been horrible, allowing 17 earned runs over his last 19.1 innings pitched. The pitching match-up is clearly in favor of the Twins, so I will take them at a reasonable price to win this game.

Lotte Giants Moneyline (+114)

Starting this game for the Lotte Giants will be Adrian Sampson. He is only 3-6 on the season with an ERA of 6.24. He had a better start last time out, excect he only went 3.2 innings, while allowing one run.

His mound opponent will be Seung-jin Lee, who is 0-1 with a 13.50 ERA. This only being his second start of the season because he usually comes out of the bullpen. His first start did not go so hot, as he managed to pitch three inning, but allowed four earned runs. While I do not love Sampson, he has more experience as a starter than Lee, so looking to the Giants would be my play.

Samsung Lions/SK Wyverns Over 9.5 Runs (-108)

The under in Saturday’s game managed to cash, partially because the game was called after five innings. If it had not been called, the game was on pace to go well over. With a little extra rest, I am going back to this match-up on Sunday and will expect runs again. The Wyverns will start Ricardo Pinto, who is 4-7 with a 5.67 ERA. His last five starts in particular have been atrocious. Pinto has allowed 25 earned runs over a span of 24.1 innings in these starts. That gives him an ERA of 9.25 over this stretch, and gives me no confidence he can shutdown the Lions.

Tae-in Won will make the start for Samsung. He is 6-2 this year with a 3.54 ERA. Won has faced the Wyverns once this season, allowing two runs over 6.0 innings. He still can be inconsistent, so the over would be the only way I would look in this game.

For those of you looking for bigger payouts, play the best bets as a three-team parlay, which pays +644.
