Friday’s five-game slate will feature some lopsided matchups that offer value. Let’s dive into the day’s best bets.
Hanwha Eagles Run Line (-160) vs NC Dinos
The NC Dinos come into this game having just beat the Lotte Giants 5-4 on Thursday morning. The Dinos are now sitting in 6th place, just 1.5 games out of the final playoff spot. They will start a start a series on Friday morning with the Hanwha Eagles, who are in the cellar at the moment. The Dinos will start Lee Jae-hak, who is having a season to forget to say the least. He has a record of 1-2 this season, but his ERA is currently 7.59. Against the Eagles, he has been far worse, posting an ERA of 13.50 with a record of 0-1.
The Eagles will start Kim Min-woo, who is 9-5 on the season with an ERA of 3.89. He has probably been one of if not the best pitcher for Hanwha this season. As bad as the Eagles have been this season, they look to be the right side in this game. The pitching matchup is in their favor and they had an extra day of rest with their game on Thursday being rained out. It is still hard to back the Eagles to win this season, so backing them on the run line will be the play.
Samsung Lions vs KT Wiz – Under 8 Runs (-115)
Given how good these pitchers have been, the under looks to be a solid play. Both teams are allowing just 4.57 runs per game. So, while they do each score about 5.1 runs per game, this pitching matchup should eliminate the opportunities. The pitching looks too strong to think one team is going to put up a crooked number. For that reason, look for the under to be the play.
Doosan Bears vs Kiwoom Heroes – Under 9 Runs (-105)
The Bears are allowing 4.74 runs per game and the Heroes are allowing 4.66 runs. In 9 head-to-head games this season, the under has cashed 4 times, the over 3 times and there have been 2 pushes. In a game that should be a pitcher’s duel, backing the under looks to be a solid play.
