KBO picks and predictions
Tuesday’s slate features plenty of opportunities for value. Let’s dive into the day’s best bets.
Kiwoom Heroes ML (-118) vs SSG Landers
The SSG Landers will start Sam Gaviglio to open this series against the Heroes on Tuesday. He has not been good at all, posting a record of 2-3 with an ERA of 6.53.
The Kiwoom Heroes took a hit to their playoff chances when they lost to the Doosan Bears on Sunday by a score of 6-0. They now sit in 6th place, and also 1.5 games behind the Bears for the final playoff spot. They will counter with Jeong Chan-Heon, who is 7-3 on the season with an ERA of 3.66.
Despite struggling in his last start, Chan-Heon has showed enough this season to make him and Kiwoom worth a play. Gaviglio has just been far too inconsistent, so backing the Heroes to get an important win will be the play.
LG Twins -1.5 (-134) vs Hanwha Eagles
The Eagles will start Kim Min-Woo to open this series against the Twins. Min-Woo has a decent record of 10-8, but his ERA is below average at 4.12.
The Twins will counter with Casey Kelly, who has a record of 10-5 with an ERA of 3.01. Even with a decent ERA, Kelly has had a few struggles against the Eagles.
Given the situation, the Twins look to be the best option in this game. Kelly is the better pitcher and the Twins have much more to play for as the season starts to wind down. For that reason, backing the Twins to win will be the play.
NC Dinos vs Doosan Bears ML (-166)
To open this series on Tuesday morning, the Bears are set to start Choi Won-Joon, who is 9-2 on the season and has posted an ERA of 3.07.
The Dinos will counter with Shin Min-Hyeok to open this series and he is 7-5 on the season with an ERA of 4.76. He posted a solid start recently, but note that Min-Hyeok has allowed at least 3 runs in 9 of his last 10 starts.
The inconsistent pitching from Min-Hyeok is the reason avoiding the Dinos looks to be the best play. Won-Joon has been much better overall, so backing the Bears will be the play.
For those of you looking for bigger payouts, play the best bets as a 3-team parlay–which pays out at +416.
