KBO picks and predictions
Tuesday’s slate features plenty of opportunities for value. Let’s dive into the day’s best bets.
LG Twins vs SSG Landers – Under 9 runs (+100)
The total looks to be a much better play because of the fact that Choi Min-Jun has been solid against the Twins, while Andrew Suarez has been elite against the Landers. Min-Jun is 1-0 against the Twins, and has an ERA of 2.25 against them. This is over the span of 4 appearances (2 starts), during which he has allowed 3 runs in 12.0 innings. His most recent start was against the Twins, as well, in which he went 7.0 innings without allowing a run.
As for Suarez, he is 3-1 against the SSG Landers and has an ERA of 1.50. This is over the span of 5 appearances (4 starts), during which he has allowed 4 runs in 24.0 innings. With both pitchers looking at their best, backing the under looks to be a solid play.
NC Dinos vs Kiwoom Heroes ML (-110)
In what looks to be a massively important game, the NC Dinos and Kiwoom Heroes will square off on Tuesday morning. The Dinos come into this game having won 2 in a row, while the Heroes have lost 2 in a row. They are in a 3-way tie for the final playoff spot, so with only a few weeks to go in the regular season, both teams are in a must win mode. The Dinos will start Drew Rucinski, who is 14-8 on the season with an ERA of 2.72.
The Heroes will counter with one of their best pitchers as well, that being Eric Jokisch. He is 14-7 on the season and has an ERA of 2.67. This is such an evenly matched game, that both teams are basically a pick em’. Even though the Heroes have lost a couple in a row, Jokisch looks to be the slightly better option. For that reason, backing the Heroes will be the play.
Samsung Lions vs Kia Tigers – Under 8 runs (-105)
The total looks to be the better play here because of the starters in this game. David Buchanan is 2-0 against the Tigers and has a miniscule ERA of 0.73 against them. This is over the span of only 2 starts, but he has allowed just 1 run in 12.1 innings.
Yoon Joong-Hyun has also had limited success against the Lions. He only has pitched 2.0 innings against them but did not allow a run. Even knowing that, the under looks to be the play. Buchanan should be able to shut down the Tigers, at least enough to where they only score a couple runs, while Joong-Hyun should be solid as well. For that reason, the under looks to be the best way to go.
For those of you looking for bigger payouts, play the best bets as a 3-team parlay–which pays out at +645.
