KBO picks and predictions
Sunday’s slate features plenty of opportunities for value. Let’s dive into the day’s best bets.
KT Wiz ML (-135) vs NC Dinos
Now 5 games clear of 2nd place, the KT Wiz will just need to finish strong to wrap up the top seed. They will start Odrisamer Despaigne, who is having a terrific season. He is 9-7 on the year, but his 3.30 ERA is more than serviceable.
The Dinos will start Wes Parsons in this game, and he has a record of 3-5 on the season. His ERA is not terrible, but 4.00 could be much better. The KT Wiz have a clear advantage on the mound, so backing them to win looks to be worth a play here.
Doosan Bears vs Kiwoom Heroes ML (-150)
The Doosan Bears and Kiwoom Heroes played to a 3-3 tie on Saturday and both will be looking for better performances on Sunday. Kiwoom is sitting in 5th place, while Doosan is 1 game back in 6th place. That makes this game even more important in terms of the playoff race. The Bears will start Yoo-Hee Kwan, who has pretty much been awful this season. His 2-5 record is by no means great and his 7.48 ERA is even worse.
The Heroes will counter with Kim Dong-Hyeok, who is 0-3 on the year and has an ERA of 4.48. This is not a great ERA either, but he has also been excellent when facing the Bears so backing the Heroes looks to be worth a play.
Lotte Giants vs Hanwha Eagles ML (-130)
The Eagles won on Saturday by a score of 13-2, marking their second win in a row. They will start Nick Kingham, who has probably been one of their best pitchers this season. He is 9-5 on the year and has an ERA of 3.17. The Giants will start Lee In-Bok in this spot and he has been very reliable at all this season. He actually has not recorded a decision, but his ERA is an ugly 6.57.
With the Eagles starting one of their best pitchers, they look like a reasonable play. Their offense has been on fire over the last couple of days, so backing the Eagles to win will be the play.
For those of you looking for bigger payouts, play the best bets as a 3-team parlay–which pays out at +413.
