Pressure is on the Detroit Pistons this Sunday, as they host Game 4 against the Knicks while trailing 2-1. My Same Game Parlay is priced at +356 odds and includes a money-line pick along with 2 player prop bets.

Pistons ML (-134)

Karl-Anthony Towns 2+ made 3s (+100)

Cade Cunningham to score 25+ points (-215)

Same Game Parlay odds: +356

Pistons ML (-134)

A balanced attack led by KAT with 31 points and Jalen Brunson who added 30 was the key to Game 3 for the Knicks, along with timely stops on the defensive end. New York built a 13-point lead at the half, that certainly helped calm the Pistons fans who saw their team host a postseason game for the first time in 6 years. Now the question is can the Knicks deliver the knockout punch? They’ve now won 9 times in 10 visits to Little Caesars Arena, plus over the last 20 meetings they’ve lost just 4 times. The moment just looked too big for this young and inexperienced Pistons team in Game 3, even though the final score indicates they had a chance to win, the Knicks seemingly had the game under control.

Game 4 is all about adjustments for Detroit. If there is one thing the Pistons have to do in Sunday’s game it’s getting the veteran Tobias Harris going. He averages almost 3 points more in wins this season, while shooting over 50% from the field compared to just 44% in losses. Isaiah Stewart was dearly missed down low, and the level of physicality went up a notch as the 2 teams combined to take 56 free throws on Thursday. Going down 3-1 likely means the end of the road for the Pistons in Game 5, so they will be playing their hearts out on Sunday just to stay alive. Will that be enough? I believe it will. They have done so many good things this season; their fans at Little Caesars Arena deserve to see at least one win before this series is over. I’m taking the Pistons to level things up at 2-2.

Karl-Anthony Towns 2+ made 3s (+100)

Good things happen for the Knicks when they get Towns involved. After attempting just 14 and 11 shots over the first 2 games, KAT got 18 of them up in Game 3 — including 8 from distance, and the result was a valuable 2-point win. The 4-for-8 performance from downtown has evened up the numbers a bit for Towns as far as efficiency goes. He is now at 38.5% from deep, that figure should stabilize as the postseason progresses. I’m looking for him to have an impact on Game 4, as well. This Pistons defense struggled in Game 3, allowing the Knicks to shoot 43.2% from downtown. In the series so far, that number is at 38.5% — which is a significant increase from the 36.3% the Pistons were allowing during the regular season. KAT is shooting 41.9% from 3 in his last 20 games overall, while against the Pistons he has cleared this line 6 times in 10 meetings on 44.2% efficiency.

Cade Cunningham to score 25+ points (-215)

It’s no secret that the Pistons postseason will last as far as Cade Cunningham takes them. His imprint was all over Detroit’s regular season, but also through the first 3 games of this series. In a weird way, though, the Pistons’ only win in this series came in a game in which Cunningham went over 50% from the field and recorded just 3 assists total. Following a subpar shooting nights in Game 3, I am looking for him to assert himself in an almost must-win situation this Sunday. He has the size mismatch over Jalen Brunson, which forces the Knicks to make adjustments on defense trying to stop him. New York has really struggled containing opposing point guards shooting the 3-ball; it has allowed the ninth-most 3s to PGs this season. Cunningham cleared this line in Game 3, going 2-for-5 from deep — it was his sixth game in 9 outings with at least a pair of 3s made. Let’s hope he can keep that streak going, as the Pistons aren’t winning without a big game from him.
