New York Knicks ML over Indiana Pacers (-122)
With a 4.5-game edge, the Knicks are pretty much safe as the 3rd seed, and a win here would give them the tie-breaker over Indiana as well so I expect a serious approach. New York’s strength here will be their ability to keep Indy off the glass. Opponents are grabbing just 48.3 rebounds per game against the Knicks, which is the best mark in the entire NBA. Indiana ranks only 18th in this category, with a tendency of dropping even further as their last 3 opponents have averaged 56 boards per game.
They return home from a long 4-game West Coast road trip, which could result in a slightly slower start to the game than usual. On top of that, Myles Turner is questionable with a neck problem, and he was a key contributor in the 2 meetings against New York earlier this season as he averaged 19.5 points per game. The Knicks take pride in bouncing back from losses. Only once since the start of the year hav ethey lost back-to-back games. They’ve successfully recovered from their last 5 defeats, winning by 6, 9, 6, 34 and 14 points. With a Karl-Anthony Towns bounce-back performance here and an 11-2 record in their last 13 road games, I’m taking the Knicks with confidence.

Karl-Anthony Towns 2+ made threes (-125)
Although he had just 9 points, KAT was able to clear this line in the Knicks’ latest game against the Celtics, going 2-for-2 from beyond the arc. The matchup against Indy has always been a favorable one for Towns, and in his last 10 meetings with the Pacers he’s averaging 29.2 points per game in just 33.2 minutes a night. That kind of productivity is hard to ignore, especially since he also had 30 points and 9 rebounds in his last game at Gainbridge FieldHouse back in November.
Towns is on a streak of at least 2 threes in 3 straight games against Indiana, while in the last 10 against them he’s at 1.9 threes made on 41.3% efficiency. The Pacers’ defense has slipped a little when it comes to perimeter defense over their last 3 games, with opponents making 38.2% of their shots. That ranks them only 19th in the NBA, so I expect Towns to get to his season average here.
Pascal Siakam to score 20+ points (-175)
Pascal Siakam has been the go-to man on offense for the Pacers, putting together one of the most consistent scoring efforts in the entire NBA. Over his last 10 games, Siakam has failed to clear this line only twice while averaging 23.9 points per game. Siakam’s efficiency from the field has also improved from 53.1% on the season to 56% during this stretch. He can also be a threat from the outside as just 2 games ago against the Clippers he went 5-for-6 from downtown. New York has had issues defending the perimeter this season as they rank dead last in opponent three-point percentage.
Coming back home from a long West Coast road trip, the Pacers will need someone to set the tone early and who better to turn to than their 10-year veteran and leading scorer? In head-to-head games against New York, Siakam has cleared this line 4 times in 7 meetings while averaging 19 points per game in 30.2 minutes a night. With the stakes being high here and a regular-season win on the line, I expect Siakam to log at least 38-40 minutes. If that’s the case then he should have no issue getting to 20 points.
