Last night I cashed on my +444 odds Suns vs Bucks Same Game Parlay, I’m looking to add to that winner as I focus on Wednesday’s ESPN clash between the Knicks and Cavaliers. Catch the game live from 7 pm ET, my Same Game Parlay is priced at +356 odds. Get predictions on the side and total for the rest of Wednesday’s games on our NBA Picks page, but now let’s dive into my Knicks vs Cavaliers bet!
Over 230.5 (-110)
Evan Mobley to Score 20+ Points (+150)
OG Anunoby 2+ Made Threes (-310)
Same Game Parlay odds: +356
Over 230.5 (-110)
I am expecting a lot of points in Wednesday’s game between the Cavs and Knicks for a variety of reasons. First off, the Knicks are playing on a 2nd night of a back-to-back following last night’s win over the Philadelphia 76ers. In 12 such games this year they’re posting a 123.3 defensive rating, which is a significant fall off from their 114.2 defensive rating for the season. The last time these two met we saw 247 points scored, with 142 coming from the then home team Cavaliers. Backing the over has been a very profitable bet in Cavs games this year, especially at home where this bet has cashed in 23 of 37 games. Cleveland has put up at least 120 in 5 straight games, the over has cashed in 7 of their last 8 games overall. Combine that with the Knicks going 4-2 on the O/U I feel very confident in backing the points here.
Evan Mobley to Score 20+ Points (+150)
After cashing on a +350 odds pick for Brook Lopez to get 20 points last night, I am once again going for a big man to go off on the offensive end. Evan Mobley has been a really solid 3rd and even 2nd scoring option on some nights for the Cavs this season. He’s averaging 18.8 points per game over his last 20 outings, that is a large enough sample size to warrant us backing him to have another 20-point game here. He’s cleared this line twice in his last 3 games and 9 times in his last 20 games, very solid for a bet that’s priced at +150 odds. He also had a strong performance in his last game against the Knicks, going for 21 points and 8 rebounds in just 25 minutes played. Mitchell Robinson returning has been a boost for an otherwise weak Knicks front line, but it might take them a while to fix all the issues they’re having on the interior. When it comes to opponent points in the paint the Knicks rank just 22nd, allowing 49.9 per game. After seeing him score 22 on 50% shooting against the Clippers on Sunday, I’m confident Mobley can have a similar performance this evening vs the Knicks.
OG Anunoby 2+ Made Threes (-310)
Jalen Brunson’s absence has been a big blow for the ambitions of the Knicks, but there is some silver lining that Knicks fans can hold on to here. The likes of Anunoby, Bridges and even Landry Shamet have been given added responsibilities on offense while Brunson is out, that is something the team will definitely benefit from down the line in the postseason. Anunoby in particular is putting up really solid numbers on offense over his last 10 games averaging 24.3 points per game. If it wasn’t for one bad game against Miami where he had just 9 points his averages would have been even better. Head coach Tom Thibodeau has given him the ultimate green light when it comes to shooting the three-ball. OG is shooting 37.3% from distance during this stretch, which is respectable for a player that’s never shot it over 40% in a season. He’s making 2.5 per game on 6.7 attempts as well, only once in those 10 games he has failed to clear this line so I am very confident that he will add to that amazing run here.
