Hanwha Eagles vs Kia Tigers – Over 9.5 runs (-102)
The total looks to be the better play because both starters have had their fair share of struggles this season. Yang Hyeon-Jong has allowed 4 or more runs in 10 starts. In his last 5 starts he has allowed 20 runs (18 earned) over 30.0 innings. In 3 starts against the Eagles he has allowed 11 earned runs over 17.1 innings.
On the other side, Kim Min-Woo has allowed 4 or more runs in 11 starts. In his last 5 starts he has allowed 15 earned runs over 31.0 innings. In 2 starts against the Tigers he has allowed 11 runs (10 earned) over 9.1 innings. Because both Min-Woo and Hyeon-Jong has struggled when facing each other, backing the over will be the play on Friday morning.
LG Twins ML over KT Wiz (-166)
The LG Twins beat the KT Wiz 2-0 on Thursday morning. They are now 76-46-2 and are still in 2nd place in the league standings. The Twins will start Adam Plutko, who is 15-5 and has an ERA of 2.48. In 26 starts he has allowed 43 earned runs over 156.0 innings.
With the loss on Thursday, the KT Wiz are now 70-56-2 and remain in 4th place in the league standings. The KT Wiz will start Wes Benjamin, who is 3-4 and has an ERA of 2.75. In 13 starts he has allowed 22 earned runs over 72.0 innings.
Both starters have been among the best in the league this season, but Plutko has fared much better against the KT Wiz compared to Benjamin against the Twins. For that reason, backing the Twins will be the play.
Lotte Giants ML over Kiwoom Heroes (-186)
The Lotte Giants beat the Kiwoom Heroes 4-2 on Friday morning. They are now 57-69-4 this year and are still in 7th place in the league standings. The Giants will start Charlie Barnes, who is 11-11 and has an ERA of 3.44. In 29 starts he has allowed 68 earned runs over 177.2 innings.
With the loss on Thursday morning, the Heroes are now 73-56-2 and are still in 3rd place in the league standings. They will counter with Jeong Chan-Heon, who is 5-5 and has an ERA of 5.13. In 18 starts he has allowed 46 earned runs over 80.2 innings.
Barnes has been one of the best pitchers for the Giants in what has been a disappointing season. Because he has a big advantage on the mound, backing the Giants will be the play.
