Pickswise was nice enough to give me the opportunity to write my plays up for you all. For those of you who don’t know me, they refer to me as JutPicks on Twitter. I post all my plays with brief write-ups every day. Now I get to write even more with no character limit!
I pride myself in being as transparent as they come. My NBA record from last season and this season are listed in my bio alongside my MLB record. Without further ado, let’s dive into my favorite plays for Tuesday.
Tyler Herro (MIA) over 20.5 points (-115)
Line available at DraftKings Sportsbook at time of publishing.
In only his 3rd year in the league, Herro has ultimately wrapped up the 6th Man of the Year award (he is -20000 on most books). He averages 21 points per game and shoots 44% from the field. Herro is everything a team looks for in a 6th man; he comes off the bench and can create his shot.
Tonight the Miami Heat face off against the 18-50 Detroit Pistons. Early in the season Herro scored 31 and 29 against Detroit. The Pistons have improved defensively since the all-star break but still rank in the bottom 10 in points allowed and defensive efficiently on the season.
Herro is fresh off a 30-point outing against the fast-paced Minnesota Timberwolves and has scored at least 20 points in 9 of their last 10 games. We fully expect Miami to take care of business tonight and potentially see a blowout win. In games that the Heat have won by more than 10, Herro is over this line in 14 of 22.
