Pickswise was nice enough to give me the opportunity to write my plays up for you all. For those of you who don’t know me, they refer to me as JutPicks on Twitter. I post all my plays with brief write-ups every day. Now I get to write even more with no character limit!

I pride myself in being as transparent as they come. My NBA record from last season and this season are listed in my bio alongside my MLB record. Without further ado, let’s dive into my favorite plays for Tuesday.

Ja Morant (Grizzlies) over 27.5 points (-110)

Line available at BetMGM at time of publishing.

Morant has showcased why he was deserving of the number 2 overall pick in the 2019 draft. He is averaging 26.4 points per game and is a matchup nightmare when he enters the paint.

Tonight, he will face off against the Los Angeles Clippers. In two matchups this season against the Clippers, he scored 28 points in both matchups while shooting over 50% in both games.

Morant is on a nice stretch before the all-star break. He has scored over 28 points in 8 of his last 10 games and is showing no signs of slowing down.

Jerami Grant (Pistons) under 17.5 points (-104)

Line available at FanDuel Sportsbook at time of publishing.

Since Grant has returned from injury, he has faced some difficult matchups. He matched up against the Timberwolves twice, who have lengthy wing defenders and the Boston Celtics who are a top-five defensive team. This trend continues tonight against the Dallas Mavericks. The Mavericks rank top 5 in defensive efficiency, allow the 2nd fewest points to the power forward position, and play at one of the slowest paces in the league.

Teammate Saddiq Bey has been leaned upon heavily with the absence of Cade Cunningham and Grant struggling. We should see another game where Detroit looks for Bey to keep this game competitive.

Grant is under this line 3 of the 4 games since returning from injury and is shooting 36% from the field. This game has blowout potential and we could see Grant pulled early.
