Pickswise was nice enough to give me the opportunity to write my plays up for you all. For those of you who don’t know me, they refer to me as JutPicks on Twitter. I post all my plays with brief write-ups every day. Now I get to write even more with no character limit!

I pride myself on being as transparent as they come. My NBA record from last season and this season are listed in my bio alongside my MLB record. Without further ado, let’s dive into my favorite plays for the play-in tournament.

Check out our picks for all of tonight’s NBA games!

Reggie Jackson (LAC) over 4.5 assists (-122)

Line available at FanDuel Sportsbook at time of publishing.

We are going right back to Reggie Jackson’s assists prop in this win-or-go-home play-in game against the New Orleans Pelicans. The Los Angeles Clippers fell apart late in their loss against the Minnesota Timberwolves. Jackson recorded his 5th assist with under 2 minutes left in the game on a Paul George 3-pointer. Jackson and George shared most of the responsibility running the offense. They ran a ton of pick-and-rolls with Ivica Zubac and gave plenty of opportunities for shooters Marcus Morris, Nicolas Batum and Norman Powell to make shots.

Over the last 15 games, The Pelicans have allowed over 28.5 assists per game, the 4th-most in the association. These two teams squared off earlier in the month with Jackson and George healthy, and Jackson dished out 10 assists.

Jackson played 42 of 48 minutes on Tuesday night. In games that he has seen at least 32 minutes of floor time, he has gone over this prop in 67% of games, including 18 straight games.

Jackson’s opportunities will be there to cash this prop; all we need is his teammates to knock down the shots.

Kevin Huerter (ATL) over 15.5 points + assists (-105)

Line available at Caesars Sportsbook at time of publishing.

Kevin Huerter is made for big-time moments. He had a clutch performance in last year’s playoffs in Game 7 of the Eastern Conference Semifinals against the Philadelphia 76ers, where he scored 27 points and dished out 3 assists. On Tuesday night against the Charlotte Hornets, Huerter scored 11 of 13 points in the 1st half and came out with a ton of confidence shooting the ball. In the 2nd half, Trae Young and De’Andre Hunter looked for their shot more and gave the Hawks a comfortable cushion where they did not have to play in the 2nd half.

John Collins will again miss this game due to a finger and foot injury. Some sources are saying backup shooting guard Bogdan Bogdanovic may miss this game, giving Huerter even more opportunities to cash this prop.

The Hawks’ opponent tonight will be the young and hungry Cleveland Cavaliers. The Cavaliers have been exceptional on the defensive end, but Huerter is coming off a 23-point game against them in late April. He shot 5 for 6 from the 3-point line and 4 for 4 from the free-throw line.

With no John Collins and possibly Bogdan Bogdanovic in the lineup, Huerter should be in like for 32+ minutes. Huerter has cashed this prop in 5 straight and 19 of 29 games this season when seeing those minutes.

Cleveland may look to blitz Trae Young off the pick-and-roll just like Charlotte did, which will open up Huerter to shoot from deep and provide looks for his teammates.
