Pickswise was nice enough to give me the opportunity to write my plays up for you all. For those of you who don’t know me, they refer to me as JutPicks on Twitter. I post all my plays with brief writeups every day. Now I get to write even more with no character limit!

I pride myself in being as transparent as they come. My NBA record from last season and this season are listed in my bio alongside with my MLB record. Without further ado, let’s dive into my favorite plays for Sunday.

Coby White (Bulls) over 12.5 points (-104)

Line available at FanDuel Sportsbook at time of publishing

Coby White has been a key piece for the 2nd-place Chicago Bulls. He is coming off the bench now with the emergence of Ayo Dosunmu and injuries to top perimeter defenders Alex Caruso and Lonzo Ball. In his last game, against the San Antonio Spurs, White went 4/8 from 3-point range on his way to scoring 18 points. Of course, it is tough to sustain 50% from downtown, but just watching the game, you could see the confidence the UNC product has in his shot. In his first minutes off the bench, he played alongside Zach Lavine and instantly looked for his shot.

Chicago gets a similar matchup in terms of pace and defensive efficiently that they had on Friday against the Spurs. The Trail Blazers hold the 3rd-worst defensive in terms of efficiency and allow the 10th-most points to the point-guard position.

Chicago will lean on White to provide a spark off the bench against a Blazers team that allows the most 3-pointers per game and the 3rd-most points. I expect White to come out aggressively in a high-scoring affair.

Cole Anthony (Magic) under 16.5 points (-110)

Line available at DraftKings at time of publishing

We were all over Cole Anthony’s under on Friday night in a similar matchup. He shot 4/15 on his way to scoring 12 points. He is averaging only 12 points per game over his last 10 compared to 18 on the year. He tends to shoot less with top 5 pick Jalen Suggs in the lineup. He averages 14 field-goal attempts per game and 16 points. Since Suggs returned from injury 8 games ago, Anthony has gone under this line 7 times with an average of 11 points. This includes 12 points against the same Dallas team he faces tonight.

The Mavericks’ perimeter defense is stifling. They allow the 5th-fewest points to the point-guard position and the fewest 3-pointers per game. I expect another pass-happy performance from Anthony in a tough matchup.
