Pickswise was nice enough to give me the opportunity to write my plays up for you all. For those of you who don’t know me, they refer to me as JutPicks on Twitter. I post all my plays with brief write-ups every day. Now I get to write even more with no character limit!

I pride myself in being as transparent as they come. My NBA record from last season and this season are listed in my bio alongside my MLB record. Without further ado, let’s dive into my favorite plays for Friday.

Trae Young (ATL) over 26.5 points (-110)

Line available at Fanduel Sportsbook at time of publishing.

All-star starter Trae Young continues to play like a top-three point-guard in the league. He is averaging 27.8 points per game which is the 6th best in the association, and doing all he can to keep the Hawks alive in the play-in tournament.

The Clippers have been a stout defense since the all-star break, but Young should have his way with how great he has played at home this season. He averages over 29 points per game in Atlanta compared to 26 points on the road. In his last three home games, he has topped 40 points twice and 39 against Chicago in his previous home game. Young is coming off a 27 point 2nd half against Milwaukee on Wednesday, and I expect him to roll over that momentum into tonight.

Terry Rozier (CHA) over 26.5 points + assists (-110)

Line available at DraftKings Sportsbook at time of publishing.

Scary Terry has been the Hornets’ most consistent player this season. He gets overshadowed by backcourt mate Lamelo Ball, but Rozier averages close to 20 points per game and 4.5 assists. Since the all-star break, Rozier has been over this line in 5 of 7 games and averaging 30 points and assists.

The New Orleans Pelicans will be missing star players Brandon Ingram and CJ McCollum. Rozier will most likely be matched up against point guard Devonte’ Graham. That is a significant advantage to Rozier. I expect Rozier to shoot around his average of 18 field goal attempts and look to create for his teammates. Rozier has cleared this line with just points in 3 of his last five games, and I would not be surprised to see the same thing happen tonight.
