Pickswise was nice enough to give me the opportunity to write my plays up for you all. For those of you who don’t know me, they refer to me as JutPicks on Twitter. I post all my plays with brief writeups every day. Now I get to write even more with no character limit!
I pride myself on being as transparent as they come. My NBA record from last season and this season are listed in my bio alongside my MLB record. Without further ado, let’s dive into my favorite play for Tuesday.
Danilo Gallinari (ATL) over 13.5 points (-114)
Line available at FanDuel SportsBook at time of publishing.
Danilo Gallinari of the Hawks has always enjoyed playing against the Knicks, who are one of his former teams. In 13 games, he averages 17.4 points against them, his 5th-most against any team. Gallinari looked phenomenal in his last game, against the Pelicans. He scored a season-high 27 points on 11 of 21 shooting. Two of his 3 3-pointers came from the attention that point guard Trae Young commands off the pick and roll. The Knicks will do all they can to have somebody else beat them other than all-star Young.
The Hawks’ athletic power forward John Collins will be out once again tonight. In his last 10 games without Collins, Gallinari averages 14.6 points in 30 minutes. Gallinari has played more than 30 minutes 9 times this season, and he has gone over this line in 6 of those games. Expect the Hawks to run their starters for most of what is a must-win game, giving Gallinari a great chance to go over this line.
