Pickswise was nice enough to give me the opportunity to write my plays up for you all. For those of you who don’t know me, they refer to me as JutPicks on Twitter. I post all my plays with brief writeups every day. Now I get to write even more with no character limit!
I pride myself on being as transparent as they come. My NBA record from last season and this season are listed in my bio alongside my MLB record. Without further ado, let’s dive into my favorite plays for Thursday.

Fred VanVleet put up a stinker on Tuesday night against the Atlanta Hawks. He shot 4 for 21 from the field and 2 for 12 from 3-point range. But I am confident that the all-star will bounce back tonight against a Philadelphia 76ers team without arguably the best perimeter defender in the league, Matisse Thybulle.
Both teams are fighting for playoff positioning. If the playoffs started today, we would see this matchup in the first round. The 76ers are tied record-wise with the Milwaukee Bucks, but the Bucks hold the tiebreaker for the #3 seed. We can fully expect both teams to play their starters for heavy minutes. When VanVleet sees at least 35 minutes of playing time, which is under his season average, he has gone over this line in 65% of games and 72% of the time at home.
I expect VanVleet to come out with a vengeance and look to get hot before the playoffs start.
