Pickswise was nice enough to give me the opportunity to write my plays up for you all. For those of you who don’t know me, they refer to me as JutPicks on Twitter. I post all my plays with brief writeups every day. Now I get to write even more with no character limit!
I pride myself in being as transparent as they come. My NBA record from last season and this season are listed in my bio alongside with my MLB record. Without further ado, let’s dive into my favorite play for Thursday.

Villanova standout Josh Hart had his jersey inducted into the rafters last night in The Pavilion in front of a packed crowd. Now he gets to square off against the New York Knicks in Madison Square Garden.
Hart has been been a pleasant surprise for the Pelicans this season. He trails superstar Brandon Ingram in minutes played by just 1 at an average of 33 a game and is shooting a career-high 51% from the field. Even though he is known as a lockdown defender, he has shown glimpses of his offensive firepower. He is averaging 13 points per game and has had 5 games over 20 points this season. He is also a menace on the glass. He averages 7.5 rebounds per game, which is around top 30 in the league. Hart’s assist numbers are sporadic but is averaging 10 assist opportunities in his last 10 games played.
I have been known to fade the Knicks defense this season. Overall, they have been a huge disappointment. Playing against the Knicks’ backcourt defense of Walker and Fournier will be a huge advantage for Hart. Barrett will be assigned to contain Brandon Ingram with Mitchell Robinson holding down the paint.
Hart has gone over this line in 20 of 35 games this season and in 8 of his last 10. I expect Hart to show out against the Knicks, as he did earlier this season when he went for 16 points, 8 rebounds, and 2 assists.
