Pickswise was nice enough to give me the opportunity to write my plays up for you all. For those of you who don’t know me, they refer to me as JutPicks on Twitter. I post all my plays with brief write-ups every day. Now I get to write even more with no character limit!
I pride myself in being as transparent as they come. My NBA record from last season and this season are listed in my bio alongside with my MLB record. Without further ado, let’s dive into my favorite play for Thursday.
Brandon Ingram (Pelicans) under 22.5 points (-112)

Duke standout Brandon Ingram has struggled since returning from his Achilles’ injury. In 2 games, Ingram has scored 26 points on 8/36 from the field. You would think the Pelicans would want to get their go-to guy back in rhythm, but he may struggle against Draymond Green and Andrew Wiggins. In his last 3 games against the top defense of Golden State, he is shooting 34% from the field and averaging only 16.33 points.
Golden State continues to be the best defensive team in the league. They rank first in defensive efficiency, points allowed, field-goal percentage, and 2nd in 3-point percentage.
Teammates Jonas Valanciunas, Devonte Graham, and Josh Hart have picked up the slack for New Orleans in the scoring department and we should see another team effort in this one.
Ingram’s road and away splits is another key stat that intrigued me. His scoring average in New Orleans, where he will be tonight, is 20.4 points per game compared to 24 on the road. On the year, Ingram is over this line in 15/29 total games but 5/14 at home.
