Pickswise was nice enough to give me the opportunity to write my plays up for you all. For those of you who don’t know me, they refer to me as JutPicks on Twitter. I post all my plays with brief write-ups every day. Now I get to write even more with no character limit!

I pride myself in being as transparent as they come. My NBA record from last season and this season are listed in my bio alongside my MLB record. Without further ado, let’s dive into my favorite play for Sunday.

Karl-Anthony Towns (Timberwolves) over 23.5 points (-116)

Line available at FanDuel Sportsbook at time of publishing.

Karl-Anthony Towns is having another stellar season for the Timberwolves. He is averaging 24.3 points per game and was just announced to his 3rd All-Star game.

Towns will face off against undersized center for the Detroit Pistons, Isaiah Stewart. These teams squared off last Thursday, when Towns scored 21 points on 6 of 15 from the field. It was an underwhelming performance from the big man considering he played 36 minutes. He shot 40% from the field which was his 2nd-worst shooting performance in the last 16 games.

Towns has got over this line in 25 of 45 games played this season and in 15 of 25 wins. In the past, we have targeted multiple centers against the Pistons and I will be backing Towns once again.

Tyrese Maxey (76ers) over 4.5 assists (-130)

Line available at DraftKings at time of publishing. Playable to -140

Tyrese Maxey has been the Philadelphia 76ers’ 2nd-best player all season. He compliments big man Joel Embiid extremely well. Maxey is in his 2nd season and has increased his assist numbers from 2.0 to 4.8. He plays a team-high 36 minutes per game and is leaned upon to create for others.

Philadelphia takes on the top-seeded Chicago Bulls today. The Bulls have allowed more than 28 assists per game in their last 15, which is the most in the NBA. Last week, we saw Dejounte Murray, Jalen Suggs, Cole Anthony, and Fred VanVleet all record at least 7 assists against the Bulls.

Maxey has cashed this prop in his last 8 games overall and should see another 35+ minutes in this Eastern Conference battle.
