San Diego Padres World Series odds after Juan Soto trade
The impact of Soto and Bell to the Padres was tremendous. Prior to the trade, the Padres were +1600 on DraftKings to win the World Series. That meant they had a 5.88% implied chance of winning the championship. Following the trade, the Padres are now +1100 on DraftKings to win the World Series, increasing their implied odds to 8.33%. However, FanDuel shifted San Diego’s odds to +1000, giving them a 9.09% chance of winning it all.
San Diego Padres National League odds after Juan Soto trade
Similar to their World Series odds, San Diego’s odds to win the National League changed dramatically. Their odds shifted from +900 to +475 on DraftKings following the Soto trade. The only teams with better odds are the Los Angeles Dodgers (+175) and the New York Mets (+290). FanDuel has San Diego’s odds to win the pennant at +490.
San Diego Padres NL West odds after Juan Soto trade
San Diego’s odds to win the NL West drastically changed on FanDuel, but not on DraftKings. Depending on the sportsbook, San Diego’s odds to win their division were between +2800 and +3500 before the Soto trade. Following the trade, San Diego’s odds to win the NL West are +1800 on FanDuel and +3500 on DraftKings. The reason their odds are so high is because the Padres are still 12 games back of the Dodgers in the division with only 2 months left in the MLB season.
