The time has come once again where college football fans all over the globe are ready to kick off another season – Welcome to the beginning of a new College Football campaign. On Saturday, August 31st the first week of college football picks will begin as Pickswise, the home of free College Football Picks dives into the winning picks of  Idaho Vandals vs. Penn State Nittany Lions.

Against the Spread Pick

The Idaho Vandals are headed to Beaver Stadium in University Park, Pennsylvania to go up against the Penn State Nittany Lions. Penn State will be seeking to build off last season’s 9-4 momentum. However, they have lost some crucial members of their offense. Trace McSorley moved to the NFL after contributing 2530 passing yards, 798 rushing yards, and 30 total TDs last season, leaving the Nittany Lions in need of a new quarterback. They will also be playing without their leading rusher Miles Sanders, who pitched in 1274 rushing yards and 9 TDs. That being said, a weakened Nittany Lions offense will likely still hold its own against the Vandals whose defense was rather lackluster in 2018. This paired with the huge amount of roster turnover the Vandals have to deal with will make them rather easy to defeat. The Nittany Lions may not be at their best, but they should still sweep the Vandals and cover.

Over Under Pick

The Vandals’ weak defense will make it relatively easy for Penn State to score high on Saturday. With that said, Penn State is not operating at its best right now, as their roster has seen a number of changes as well. It’s going to close, but I would go with the over on this one.
