2:52 pm Saratoga (Race 4) – Echo Zulu 4/5 (3-star play)
Victorious in 7 of he 9 previous starts, the daughter of Gun Runner impressed when making all to win by five-and-three-quarter-lengths in the 6-furlong Grade 2 Winning Colors Stakes at Churchill Downs at the end of May. The filly was making her 4-year-old debut that day, having ended 2022 with a second in the Grade 1 Breeders’ Cup Filly & Mares Sprint at Keeneland. Unbeaten in 2 starts here and looks capable of extending that to 3.
4:00 pm Saratoga (Race 6) – Ichiban 2/1 (2-star play)
The 3-year-old took a step forward when delivering a one-and-a-half-length second in a mile maiden special weight at Belmont Park last month. Racing prominently appeared to suit that day and she confirmed that promise when delivering a two-and-a-half-length victory in a 7-furlong maiden special weight here earlier this month. Trainer Linda Rice is having a great time of it at this meeting and her representative can help her improve on her 32% strike rate (10 of 31) at this meeting.
5:10 pm Saratoga (Race 8) – Amanda’s Folly 9/5 (2-star play)
A maiden claiming race winner at Aqueduct back in March the filly has won twice subsequently, including in a 7-furlong $16,000 claiming event at Aqueduct in April. The Mendelssohn filly joined the Linda Rice stable subsequently and duly followed up in a mile allowance on a muddy track at Belmont Park in early May. Has finished on the board in both subsequent starts and looks up to returning to winning ways on her first start at Saratoga.
