Horse Racing picks for Parx race track on Monday, September 27: Kolohe Prince will be crowned

Horse Racing

There is plenty of great horse racing action to look forward to across America on Monday, including at Parx race track. We are still in fine form with our picks, having nailed 70 winners in our last 171 races dating back to early August while profiting 86.5 units during this stretch. This past Saturday we had the winner in 4 of 5 aces for a profit of 13.4 units. Here are 3 runners whom we think look to be a class above the opposition in their respective races. It’s time to dive in and take a look at some potentially lucrative plays.

2:43 pm Parx (Race 5) – Kolohe Prince 4/1

Got off the mark at the seventh attempt with victory in a track and distance maiden claimer back in August. He wasted no time in following up, landing a $20,000 claimer in comfortable fashion despite enduring a wide trip. There was plenty to like about that performance and, on paper, this race isn’t much tougher for Patrick Ashton’s son of Graydar. He remains unexposed after just eight starts and further improvement is more than plausible. Drawn perfectly in gate three, Jann Hernandez can plot the perfect stalking trip before pouncing in the stretch.

3:10 pm Parx (Race 6) – Twirling Liz 8/5

After a trio of disappointing performances, she bounced back to something like her best when making all the running over track and distance two starts ago. She proved that performance was no fluke when finishing second in a seven-furlong claimer last time, just being outstayed in the closing stages. She pulled clear with the eventual winner, however, and that does plenty for the form. Cutting back to six furlongs is certainly in her favor and with just the five rivals in this field, she can lead them from pillar to post under Ruben Silvera.

4:04 Parx (Race 8) – Li’lbito’charm 9/5

Ralph Riviezzo’s charge couldn’t arrive in better form, having won two of her last three starts at Parx. Landing a starter allowance race three starts ago, she went down by a head in a $65,000 starter handicap on her next start. She swiftly returned to winning ways in a starter optional claiming event last time, winning with authority in that lower grade. She’s the class act in this race and a middling draw will give Dexter Haddock plenty of options. A strong stayer at this trip, if she hits the front turning in, she’ll be extremely tough to catch.
