All 29 of the 5-year-old daughter of Uncle Lion’s starts have come at this venue including when four-and-a-quarter-lengths fourth in a $10,000 claiming contest over this 6-furlong trip here in March. Debuting for handler Jose Arce on that occasion. Missed an intended engagement last month when scratched by the stewards and tackling an easier contest dropping down in grade she looks capable of registering her fourth career win with Axel Concepcion taking a valuable 5 lbs off the pick’s back.
1:34 pm Parx (Race 3) – Aztec Queen 8/5 (2-star play)
Erneston Padilla-Preciado’s inmate has shown good form in all 4 starts to date including when three-and-three-quarter-lengths fourth in a 6-furlong $16,000 maiden claiming event at this venue early last month. Raced from off the pace on that occasion and while she has been beaten at this level in the past she looks likely to appreciate the step up to 7 furlongs she gets here. Regular pilot Jeremy Laprida looks capable of steering the 3-year-old to victory.

Successful by a wide margin in a starter event over this track and trip in December, the 7-year-old put a couple of heavy defeats at big odds behind him when three-and-a-quarter-lengths fourth in a $10,000 claiming contest over this track and trip 2 weeks ago. The son of Albert The Great has been ridden with restraint in recent starts and dropping in class here is taken to help trainer Jamie Ness improve on his 25% strike rate (54 of 217) at this meeting.
