Chad Brown can boast a 45% strike-rate (14/31) at this meeting and his newcomer is taken to make a winning debut. The Into Mischief filly was an expensive $1,025,000 purchase at the Keeneland September Yearling Sale back in 2020 and while she failed to see the track at two she has delivered some good works of late including a 49.80 three furlong breeze at the Payson Park Training Center a week ago. Can break her maiden at the first attempt.
3:14 pm Tampa Bay Downs (Race 7) – Bleecker Street 2/1
The winner of her first three starts the Quality Road filly maintained her unbeaten record when winning by one-and-a-half-lengths in the Grade 3 Endeavour Stakes over a mile-and-one-sixteenth here early last month. Had a number of today’s rivals behind her that day headed by runner-up Lady Speightspeare. With the extra sixteenth looking likely to suit racing from off the pace Chad Brown’s charge is taken to register her fifth career success with regular pilot Hector R Diaz up.
5:23 pm Tampa Bay Downs (Race 11) – Classic Causeway 8/5
An impressive maiden special weight winner at Saratoga on debut the selection delivered a third place finish in the Grade 1 Breeders Futurity over a mile-and-one-sixteenth at Keeneland on his second outing. A second place finish in a Grade 2 contest followed while he showed his liking for this venue when winning by three-and-three-quarter-lengths in the Grade 3 Sam F Davis Stakes here last month. Likely to race close to the pace and is taken to enhance his Derby credentials.
