1:46 pm Saratoga (Race 2) – Pillbox 6/5 (2-star play)
The daughter of Wee Miss Artie showed ability in her first three starts including when breaking her maiden over a mile on her sole start for Mike Maker in a $40,000 optional maiden claiming contest over a mile on turf at Gulfstream Park at the start of March. Rejoined the Saffie Joseph barn subsequently and is taken to deliver a victory back sprinting following a below par effort over a mile on the main track on 26th March.
5:10 pm Saratoga (Race 8) – Raging Sea 8/5 (2-star play)
The three-year-old has performed well in all three outings to date including when breaking her maiden by a neck over seven furlongs here last August. Two on the board finishes at Grade 1 level followed including when four lengths third having been ridden from off the pace in the Breeders’ Cup Juvenile Fillies over a mile-and-one-sixteenth at Keeneland in November. Off the track since she sets the standard on form and is taken to resume with a win.
5:44 pm Saratoga (Race 9) – Sunset Louise 5/2 (2-star play)
Bruce Levine’s mare arrives here in good form having won in allowance optional claiming company on each of her last three starts. All three of those outings have come on wet tracks including when making all to win by five-and-three-quarter-lengths over a mile on a good main track last month. The four-year-old registered a 48.33 four furlong work here earlier this month and looks up to completing registering a fourth consecutive victory stepping up to stakes company.
