3:26 pm Saratoga (Race 5) – Ramblin’ Wreck 5/2 (2-star play)
Showed good form when delivering a victory in a state-bred stakes event over seven furlongs at Belmont Park three starts back. The Danny Gargan-trained gelding has delivered good efforts in 2 subsequent outings including when narrowly beaten before being given the race by the stewards in a similar contest over a mile-and-one-sixteenth on a good turf track here two weeks ago. Looks capable of registering his fourth career success with regular pilot Irad Ortiz booked to ride.
4:00 pm Saratoga (Race 6) – Digital Future 5/2 (2-star play)
The Raymond Handal-trained 5-year-old has shown good form at a higher level in the past including when winning a $25,000 claiming contest by one-and-three-quarter-lengths over six-and-a-half-furlongs at Aqueduct in April. The son of Street Boss has failed to shine in 2 subsequent starts but gets a welcome drop in grade here having suffered a thirteen-and-a-quarter-length defeat in a 6-furlong $25,000 waiver claiming event here last month and looks up to returning to the winners enclosure under Dylan Davis.
5:44 pm Saratoga (Race 9) – Gala Brand 7/2 (2-star play)
The daughter of Violene showed plenty of ability when coming from off the pace to deliver a two-and-a-quarter-length victory in a maiden special weight over five-and-a-half-furlongs at this venue at the start of the month. Trained by Hall Of Fame handler Bill Mott, the 2-year-old shaped as if further would suit on that occasion and is taken to maintain her unbeaten record having registered a couple of 4-furlong works on the main track here since that success.
