Naughty Gal showed promise when 4th over 5 furlongs at Churchill Downs in her debut in June, but she took her form to the next level when delivering a wide margin 9 1/4 length victory in a 6-furlong maiden special weight contest at the same venue last month.
The daughter of Into Mischief has delivered some solid efforts in the mornings since and is taken to register a victory upped to Grade 3 company for Hall Of Fame trainer D Wayne Lukas.
4:29 pm ET Saratoga (Race 7) – McKulick 8/5 (2-star play)
This daughter of Frankel built on 3 on-the-board finishes in graded stakes races when recording a 1 3/4 length victory in the 10-furlong Grade 1 Belmont Oaks Invitational Stakes on turf at Belmont Park just under a month ago.
She raced from mid-division prior to leading in the stretch on that occasion and, having proved she is effective over shorter, Irad Ortiz’s mount is taken to confirm form with European raider With The Moonlight, who finished 2nd in the Belmont Oaks.
5:39 pm ET Saratoga (Race 9) – Jouster 5/2 (2-star play)
Jouster ended a losing run that dated back to April last year when delivering a 3/4-length victory in the Listed Perfect Sting Stakes over a mile at Belmont Park at the start of last month.
She had previously placed 3rd in a Grade 3 contest over 6 furlongs at the same venue and while she proved a disappointment when fading in the stretch on her only previous start at this venue she looks capable of completing a double for trainer Todd Pletcher.
