2:52 pm Saratoga (Race 4) – Ever Summer 4/1 (2-star play)
The four-year-old made all the running to deliver a half-length victory in an allowance contest over this distance at Belmont Park at the start of June. The daughter of Summer Front employed similar front running tactics when coming within a neck of registering her first stakes triumph in placing second in the Grade 3 Robert G. Dick Memorial Stakes on a soft turf course at Delaware Park at the start of last month. Looks up to returning to winning ways.
5:10 pm Saratoga (Race 8) – Magic Cross 20/1 (1-star play)
The daughter of Good Magic sold for $112,500 at the Keeneland September Yearling sale last year. She made the perfect start to her racing career when drawing seven-and-a-quarter-lengths clear of her rivals in a five-and-a-half-furlong maiden special weight at Belmont Park just under a month ago. The Bill Mott-trained filly raced in fourth in the early stages of that contest and she looks capable of delivering a victory following a 50.10 four furlong work at the same venue.
5:44 pm Saratoga (Race 9) – Dontmesswithtess 2/1 (2-star play)
Trained by Michael Maker the pick has shown good form since joining the handler finishing on the board in three of her five starts. The most recent of those saw her deliver a two length second in a $50,000 starter event over a mile-and-one-sixteenth on a good turf course at Belmont Park last month. Top jockey Irad Ortiz, on board that day is again in the saddle and he is taken to steer the five-year-old to victory upped in distance.
