There is plenty of great horse racing across America on Saturday, including at Saratoga race track. We have been in fine form with our picks for a long time, up +299.36 units with our race selections to our recommended stakes dating back to August 5, 2021. We cashed both our 3-star picks at Saratoga on Thursday and on Friday we went 2-for-2 with winners at +350 and +450. Let’s keep it rolling!
Here are our best bets for today’s action at Saratoga.
2:10 pm Saratoga (Race 2) – Endowed 3/1 (2-star play)
Gelded following one below par effort on turf as a three-year-old the son of Tonalist broke his maiden at the second time of asking when winning by four-and-three-quarter-lengths on his main track debut at Belmont Park early last month. Followed that up with a good second in a $50,000 starter contest at the same venue three weeks ago. Open to improvement and is selected to help trainer Christophe Clement improve on his 19% strike-rate (5/27) at this meeting.
2:40 pm Saratoga (Race 3) – Devilly 2/1 (2-star play)
Shown solid form at a higher level when placed in a six furlong maiden special weight at Belmont Park at the end of May. Followed that up with a four length seventh in a similar event over seven furlongs at the same venue the following month. The drop in distance here is no issue and with the drop in grade a positive the Noble Mission filly looks up to getting off the mark on her first start at this track.
3:44 pm Saratoga (Race 6) – Ensemble 7/2 (2-star play)
Demonstrated plenty of ability in the UK winning over a mile on synthetics at Lingfield in August last year prior to finishing runner-up over the same track and trip 11 days later. Disappointed on turf at Newmarket on her final start at three but there was plenty to like about her third in a mile allowance at Keeneland when debuting for Brendan Walsh. Taken to double her career tally following a 1:01.02 five furlong work on turf here.
4:50 pm Saratoga (Race 8) – Jackie’s Warrior 1/5 (3-star play)
It’s hard to look passed the short-priced favourite here with the son of Maclean’s Music completing a hat-trick when taking the Grade 2 True North over six-and-one-half-furlongs at Belmont Park last month. Proven in this grade when winning over seven furlongs at Churchill Downs prior and with regular pilot Joel Rosario in the saddle the four-year-old looks up to delivering a 12th win in 16 career starts following a solid 48.41 four furlong breeze at this venue six days ago.
5:37 pm Saratoga (Race 9) – Early Voting 8/5 (2-star play)
Suffered his first defeat when a neck second having raced from the front in the Grade 2 Wood Memorial over a mile-and-one-eighth at Aqueduct in April. Missed the Derby but delivered a length-and-a-quarter victory in the Grade 1 Preakness Stakes at Pimlico in the second leg of the Triple Crown. Closely matched with Epicenter on that running and coming into this race fresh is taken to register a fourth win in five career starts with regular pilot Jose Ortiz up.
