There is plenty of great horse racing across America on Saturday, including at Saratoga race track. We have been on fire with our picks for a long time now, up +299.23 units with our race selections to our recommended stakes dating back to August 5, 2021. Let’s keep it rolling!
Here are our best bets for today’s action at Saratoga.
1:39 pm Saratoga (Race 2) – Quick Munny 3/1 (2-star play)
Demonstrated competitive form in maiden special weight races on dirt at Churchill Downs last year and performed well switched to turf at Fair Grounds earlier this year. Drop in grade appeared to suit when scoring in a $50,000 maiden claimer over six furlongs on the main track back at Churchill Downs in May and the four-year-old Munnings filly is selected to complete a double with Ricardo Santana Jr up for Jason Barkley on her first outing against winners.
2:15 pm Saratoga (Race 3) – Robyn and Eli 5/2 (2-star play)
Performed well in maiden special weight company when finishing runner-up in a couple of events late last year including when beaten half-a-length over a mile-and-one-sixteenth at Aqueduct in December. Missed the first part of the year and returned with a neck second having missed the break in a state-bred stakes race over seven furlongs at Belmont Park last month. Looks up to scoring with regular pilot Manny Franco booked for her return to maiden company.
4:29 pm Saratoga (Race 7) – Reinvestment Risk 3/5 (3-star play)
An impressive three length winner of an allowance optional claimer over six-and-one-half-furlongs at Gulfstream Park in February the Upstart colt has shown he can perform at a much higher level when runner-up in two seven furlong Grade 1 races subsequently. Beaten four lengths in the Churchill Downs Stakes at the Kentucky venue in early May and having been freshened up since looks capable of registering a second victory in three starts at this venue for trainer Chad Brown.
5:03 pm Saratoga (Race 8) – Bleecker Street 6/5 (2-star play)
Unbeaten in seven starts the four-year-old registered a half-length victory in the one-mile-two-furlong Grade 1 New York Stakes last month. Usually races from off the pace as was the case when taking the Grade 3 Modesty Stakes over this trip at Churchill Downs in early May. Irad Ortiz who rode for the first time last time out retains the ride and the filly, one of three in the race for owner Peter Brant is taken to maintain her unbeaten record.
6:13 pm Saratoga (Race 10) – Forte 5/2 (2-star play)
A $110,000 purchase as a yearling at the Keeneland September sale last year the son of Violence made the perfect start to his racing career when winning by an eased down seven-and-three-quarter-lengths in a five furlong maiden special weight contest at Belmont Park in May. Advertised his well-being with a number of works at the same venue in recent weeks including a 50 second work over four furlongs on July 9 and he looks up to completing a double.
