There is plenty of great horse racing across America on Friday, including at Saratoga race track. We have been on fire with our picks for a long time and over the past 2 days at Saratoga we’ve had 5 winners from 7 picks, taking us to a profit of +300.66 units with our race selections to our recommended stakes dating back to August 5, 2021. Let’s keep it rolling today!
Here are our best bets for today’s action at Saratoga.
2:50 pm ET Saratoga (Race 5) – Public Sector 2/1 (2-star play)
Chad Brown’s charge completed a hat-trick in Graded company when taking out the Grade 2 Hill Prince Stakes over a mile-and-one-eighth at Belmont Park last October. He finished on the board in Grade 3 contests on his two most recent starts including over a mile in the Grade 3 Forbidden Apple Stakes here last month. Public Sector has shown a liking for this track in the past and looks up to recording a third Graded stakes win at this venue.
3:58 pm ET Saratoga (Race 7) – War Like Goddess 4/7 (3-star play)
The daughter of English Channel’s sole defeat in her last six starts came when finishing a close-up third in the Grade 1 Breeders’ Cup Filly & Mare Turf over a mile-and-three-eighths at Del Mar in November last year. She returned to winning ways when delivering a one-and-three-quarter-length victory over a mile-and-a-half in the Grade 3 Bewitch Stakes at Keeneland on her seasonal debut at the end of April, and she is taken to deliver an 8th win in 10 career starts.
5:07 pm ET Saratoga (Race 9) – Matareya 1/3 (3-star play)
Matareya sets the clear standard on form having won each of her last four starts, including when making all the running to deliver a six-and-a-quarter-length victory in the Grade 1 Acorn Stakes over a mile at Belmont Park in June. She’s delivered some solid work in the mornings of late, including a 1:00 five-furlong work here in her penultimate timed breeze. Brad Cox’s charge looks capable of continuing her winning run with Flavien Prat booked to ride.
5:43 pm ET Saratoga (Race 10) – Life Is Good 5/6 (3-star play)
Life Is Good impressed when winning the Grade 1 Pegasus World Cup Invitational over a mile-and-one-eighth at Gulfstream Park back in January. He showed no ill effects for his fourth-place finish in the Dubai World Cup when making all to take the Grade 2 John A. Nerud Stakes over seven furlongs at Belmont Park at the start of July. He is taken to reverse the Dubai World Cup form with Hot Rod Charlie and provide Todd Pletcher with a Grade 1 winner.
6:20 pm ET Saratoga (Race 11) – Nations Pride 3/1 (2-star play)
European raider Nations Pride delivered a second-place finish to Classic Causeway in the Grade 1 Belmont Derby over a mile-and-a-quarter at Belmont Park last month. He had to challenge wide on that occasion and while he drops a sixteenth in trip here that should prove no issue with the son of Teofilo selected to register a first victory at the highest level. Jockey William Buick, successful on the selection at Newmarket in May, has made the trip over to New York to ride for trainer Charlie Appleby.
