4:29 pm ET Saratoga (Race 7) – Keepmeinmind 10/11 (3-star play)
Race 7 at Saratoga is a $115,000 Allowance over a mile and an eighth on the dirt, and Todd Pletcher’s Keepmeinmind has a great chance to get the win.
This colt was campaigning at the highest level last year with his best performance being a fourth-place finish behind Essential Quality in the Travers Stakes, so he should be very tough to beat on his first start of the season if running close to his best form.
5:05 pm ET Saratoga (Race 8) – Violent Point 7/1 (1-star play)
This $100,000 Allowance Optional Claiming event looks to be an open race on paper and I like the chances of the mare in the outside stall, Violent Point. She comes into this off the back of a convincing Claiming win at Belmont Park last time out.
Violent Point is also a winner at this course having broken her maiden tag here and has won in this grade, so it would not surprise should she show up well at good odds.
5:39 pm ET Saratoga (Race 9) – Dolce Zel 7/2 (2-star play)
The penultimate race at Saratoga is the $175,000 Grade 3 Lake George Stakes for three-year-old fillies over a mile on the turf, with the selection being Chad Brown’s Dolce Zel, who looks to have a solid chance.
Dolce Zel was formerly trained in France and is the daughter of Zelzal. She has form figures of 123 in graded races since making her US debut at the start of this season and possesses a lethal turn of foot, which can be used to devastating effect here by Irad Ortiz Jr.
6:13 pm ET Saratoga (Race 10) – Let Her Inspire U 11/10 (3-star play)
A hotly contested $95,000 Allowance for the female division is the final race on the card at Saratoga, in which the likely favorite, Let Her Inspire U, is the one they all have to beat.
She is improving nicely and gained her first victory last time out when winning a decent Maiden Special Weight at Belmont Park by three lengths and a quarter. She is one to keep a close eye on going forward.
