Purchased for $50,000 as a yearling at the Keeneland September Sale last year the son of Constitution showed plenty of ability when delivering a two length third in a five furlong maiden special weight at Belmont Park on debut early last month. The youngster tracked the speed on that occasion and switched to turf here he looks capable of breaking his maiden at the second attempt following an impressive 37.21 three furlong breeze at Belmont Park a week ago.
2:52 pm Saratoga (Race 4) – Blazing Sevens 4/5 (3-star play)
The winner of his debut here just under a year ago the three-year-old has since shown he is up to competing at the highest level including when winning on a sloppy track in the Champagne Stakes at Aqueduct last October. The colt has finished on the board twice in Grade 1 company this year including when beaten a head into second in the Preakness Stakes at Pimlico in May. Arrives here fresh and is taken to score down in grade.
4:00 pm Saratoga (Race 6) – Catch That Party 7/2 (1-star play)
The son of More Than Ready has finished on the board in his six starts since debuting for trainer Michael Maker with a fourth in a starter contest at Belmont Park in July last year. The most recent of those efforts saw the gelding triumph by a head in an allowance optional claiming contest over a mile-and-one-eighth at Belmont Park last month. With the step up in distance unlikely to inconvenience he looks up to following up.
5:10 pm Saratoga (Race 8) – Artorious 5/2 (2-star play)
The colt showed a liking for this venue when delivering an impressive four-and-three-quarter-length victory in the Listed Curlin Stakes over this trip here in July last year. The son of Arrogate has had just three starts subsequently however including when two-and-a-half-lengths fourth in the Grade 3 Salvator Mile Stakes at Monmouth Park just over a month ago. Chad Brown’s charge raced prominently on that occasion and with Irad Ortiz up he looks capable of recording his third career win.
5:44 pm Saratoga (Race 9) – Revalita 5/1 (1-star play)
The filly showed good form in her native France last year winning twice from three starts. The daughter of Recoletos has proven that she is up to performing at Graded level in three starts for the Chad Brown barn including when coming from off the pace to deliver a one-and-a-quarter-length third in the Grade 2 Wonder Again Stakes over a mile-and-one-eighth at Belmont Park last month and dropping in trip she looks up to registering her first Graded win.
