There is plenty of great horse racing across America on Sunday, including at Santa Anita race track. We have been in fine form with our picks for a long time now and we are up +133.35 units with our race selections to our recommended stakes dating back to August 5, 2021. Let’s keep it rolling!
Here are our best bets for today’s action at Santa Anita race track.
3:30 pm Santa Anita (Race 2) – Teddy’s Triumph 8/5 (2-star play)
The son of Sharp Azteca showed plenty of ability when debuting with a three-and-a-half-length fourth in a five furlong maiden special weight at Del Mar in August. Teddy’s Triumph faded late on in that contest and underwent a gelding operation subsequently. While Peter Miller’s youngster failed to shine when last of 11 in a 6-furlong contest here last month, he gets a drop in both grade and trip and is taken to break his maiden in this event.
5:32 pm Santa Anita (Race 6) – Queen Goddess 2/1 (2-star play)
Michael McCarthy’s mare showed good form in Graded stakes company last winter including when delivering a one-and-a-half-length victory in a Grade 3 contest over a mile-and-one-sixteenth at Gulfstream Park in January. Queen Goddess has had just 2 starts since including when a length third in the Grade 1 Gamely Stakes over a mile-and-one-eighth here in May. Arrives here fresh and is selected to return to register a Grade 2 success with Luis Saez booked for the ride.
6:32 pm Santa Anita (Race 8) – Anisette 8/5 (2-star play)
Formerly trained in the UK, Anisette has shown good form since transferring to the Leonard Powell barn winning 3 of her 4 starts including the Grade 1 Del Mar Oaks over a mile-and-one-eighth at Del Mar in August. The daughter of Awtaad lost her unbeaten record for the handler when runner-up in the Grade 2 Rodeo Drive over a mile-and-a-quarter here just under a month ago. Umberto Rispoli’s mount has trained well since and can score dropping in trip.
