There is plenty of great horse racing action to look forward to across America on Wednesday, including at Keeneland race track. We are still absolutely on fire with our plays, having profited 163.35 units dating back to Aug. 5–including 46.8 units over the past four days. Here are 4 runners whom we think look to be a class above the opposition in their respective races on Wednesday. It’s time to dive in and take a look at some potentially lucrative plays.
3:08 pm Keeneland (Race 5) – Rare Stripe 3/1
Race 5 at Keeneland is a $84,000 Maiden Special Weight over a mile and a sixteenth on the turf and this one can go to Jack Sisterson’s Rare Stripe. This four-year-old son of Flatter has yet to win in nine attempts but his recent form figures suggest he is getting better and with those nine races comes plenty of experience so, from what is a nice draw for him in stall nine, he can get that elusive first win of his career.
3:40 pm Keeneland (Race 6) – Ready To Answer 5/2
Ready To Answer’s only victory was nearly a year ago now but when this colt was last seen here at Keeneland he finished a very good second in a similar contest to this so if he can run close to that then he has every chance in this $86,000 Allowance event, Race 6. Since winning, he has been contesting Allowance Optional Claimers and Allowance races which have been mainly at Churchill Downs and Gulfstream Park and he has been running ok, but not as good as that Keeneland effort so now that he returns here he can notch a second career win.
4:12 pm Keeneland (Race 7) – More Than Unusual 5/2
The penultimate race at Keeneland is a competitive $88,000 Allowance race for Fillies and Mares and it’s the horse drawn down in stall one, More Than Unusual, who can strike late under Florent Geroux. This filly is very consistent and has plenty of ability, as is shown with an authoritative win in this grade at Fair Grounds three starts back and, although she comes in here off of a six month break, she should be too good for these.
4:44 pm Keeneland (Race 8) – Triple P 4/1
An open looking $52,000 Maiden Claiming contest is the eighth and final race on Keeneland’s midweek card and look no further than Triple P, who is likely to be fancied given her recent second on debut at Churchill Downs and she can go one better here. This daughter of Classic Empire, who himself won a Grade 1 at this course as a two-year-old, would have learned alot from that debut effort and it will take a good horse to beat her this time around.
