The Jamie Ness-trained colt broke his maiden in a maiden special weight event over an extended mile at Monmouth Park in July last year. The pick missed most of the rest of the year and has shown improved form with each race since including when delivering a two-and-a-half-length third in a $40,000 claiming contest over an extended mile at Belmont Park last month. Changed trainer following that effort and looks capable of debuting at this track with a victory.
3:53 pm Parx (Race 8) – McCrakens Ghost 2/1 (2-star play)
The three-year-old debuted with a victory in a $25,000 maiden claimer over five-and-a-half-furlongs at Delaware Park in November last year and recorded his first victory since when drawing five lengths clear of his rivals in a seven furlong $40,000 allowance optional claimer at this venue at the end of last month. The shorter distance here should prove no issue and he looks capable of completing a double with regular jockey Ruben Silvera again booked for the ride.
4:20 pm Parx (Race 9) – Ego Man 2/1 (2-star play)
The son of Constitution has won two of his three starts since joining the Haleem R Lee barn from Kathleen A Demais following a third in a $25,000 claiming event over six furlongs in March. Those two victories include a three-quarters-of-a-length victory when making all the running in a $16,000 starter optional claimer over an extended six furlongs here at the end of May. Registered a triple digit speed figure that day and is expected to prove hard to beat.
