12:40 pm ET Parx (Race 1) – I Love Jaxson 5/2 (2-star play)
I Love Jaxson impressed when winning by 6 1/2 lengths in a $4,000 claiming event over a mile at Mahoning Valley in December. He subsequently delivered a good 3rd when beaten 1 1/4 lengths in a $6,250 claimer on a sloppy track at Penn National the following month.
He missed an engagement at this track when scratched by the stewards in February and is taken to go one better than when runner-up in a 7-furlong event when making his only previous start at this track last October.
1:34 pm ET Parx (Race 3) – Gia’s Fuego 5/1 (1-star play)
Gia’s Fuego changed trainer following a 4 3/4 length 3rd in a $5,000 claiming event on a sloppy main track at Parx last month. The mare failed to shine when fading into 7th when apprentice-ridden in a $7,500 claimer over the same trip there 15 days later.
The booking of Ruben Silvera is a positive move with regards to her chances today and, dropping back to a $5,000 claiming race, the daughter of Fed Biz looks capable of registering her 5th career success.
3:49 pm ET Parx (Race 8) – Social Success 6/5 (2-star play)
Trained by Bruce M Kravets, the 3-year-old Social Success has shown good form in 3 starts since finishing 4 lengths 5th in a 6-furlong maiden special weight at Penn National in December.
Unbeaten since that debut effort, she made all to score by 2 1/2 lengths in the Main Line Stakes over a mile and 70 yards at Parx early last month. She sets the standard on form and with Frankie Pennington, who was on board last time out, riding again she looks capable of delivering a 4th straight victory.
