2:28 pm ET Parx (Race 5) – Indybound 2/1 (2-star play)
The gelding has finished on the board in four of his last six starts including when one-and-a-quarter-lengths third in a $28,000 claiming contest on a wet fast track at Delaware in June. Jamie Ness’ charge failed to shine when seventh over a mile here subsequently. However he drops in both trip and grade in this contest and with Frankie Pennington up he looks capable of delivering a victory following a 50.01 four furlong work here last week.
3:22 pm ET Parx (Race 7) – Social Acceptance 2/1 (2-star play)
The three-year-old showed good form when racing prominently prior to placing second in a six furlong maiden special weight here in July and duly filled the same position when beaten a length in a similar contest here the following month. The Social Inclusion gelding had an excuse when failing to shine on turf debut at Saratoga over five-and-a-half-furlongs subsequently and returning to the main track he looks up to breaking his maiden with Paco Lopez booked to ride.
3:49 pm ET Parx (Race 8) – Classic Union 3/1 (2-star play)
The colt finished third twice in $25,000 starter optional claiming sprint races at this venue earlier this year. The step up to this mile-and-seventy-yards distance appeared to suit when drawing nine-and-a-quarter-lengths clear of his rivals in a similar contest here earlier this month. The switch to a starter allowance should prove no issue on his second start back from a short break and he is taken to help trainer Daniel Velazquez improve on his 19% strike-rate (18/93) at this meeting.
