The selection has finished on the board on each occasion including when losing out by a head over the same trip in a similar race to this earlier this month. The son of Nyquist sets the standard on form and is taken to double his career tally.
2:55pm Parx (Race 6) – Buff Hello 2/1 (2-star play)
The son of Buffum has demonstrated good winning form so far in 2023 winning three of his four starts including by two lengths in a six furlong allowance optional claiming contest at Monmouth Park last month. The pick joined the Jose H Delgado barn following that success and performed well when runner-up in a six-and-a-half-furlong allowance here subsequently. The drop back to six furlongs is no issue and the four-year-old is selected to deliver his seventh carer win.
4:26 pm Parx (Race 9) – Beren 7/2 (2-star play)
The five-year-old is a regular in stakes races at this venue with his most recent start in a track stakes coming when half-a-length second in the Banjo Picker Sprint Stakes over six furlongs at this venue in August. The son of Weigelia failed to shine when he could finish only fourth in a sloppy track allowance over the same trip here subsequently but the selection is taken to put that disappointment behind him to register his eighth win here.
