2:01 pm Parx (Race 4) – Marvelette 4/1 (1-star play)
The daughter of Mo Town broke her maiden on a good turf course when successful by a heading having raced from the front in a $30,000 maiden claiming contest over a mile-and-one-sixteenth at Laurel in July. The three-year-old has been given a break since disappointing when fourth in a $40,000 claimer over the same distance at Monmouth Park the following month and looks capable of doubling her career tally with Dexter Haddock on board for the first time.
2:55 pm Parx (Race 6) – Souper Catch 3/1 (2-star play)
The gelding has finished on the board in two of his three starts since joining the Rob Atras barn. The most recent of those saw the veteran performer register a four length third in a $12,500 claiming contest held on a good main track at Saratoga at the end of August. The son of Bernardini heads here on the back of a 52 second four furlong work at Belmont Park last week and he looks up to scoring here.
3:49 pm Parx (Race 8) – Catatumbo 3/1 (2-star play)
Trained by Tony Wilson the four-year-old has shown good form in two starts on turf for the stable including when fifth in a $22,000 claiming contest over a mile-and-one-sixteenth in July. The son of Blame followed that effort up with a victory by a head when coming from off the pace in a similar contest held over the same course and distance. Hold up tactics appeared to suit that day and he is taken to complete a double.
