He was given a break thereafter and proved a disappointment on his return to action here last month. But he could finish only tenth when beaten 14 lengths in a similar contest that day but gets a welcome drop in grade for this contest. He has won at a much higher level in the past and the eight-year-old looks up to making the perfect start to the year.

Unbeaten in three starts, the son of Army Mule followed up wins in a maiden special weight at Monmouth Park and an allowance optional claimer at Laurel when delivering a two-and-three-quarter-length victory in the James F. Lewis III Stakes on a good main track at Laurel in November. He raced from the front in all three previous starts and stepping up to seven furlongs for the first time looks up to maintaining his unbeaten record with Mychel J Sanchez up.
