Disappointed when last of seven in a Penn National allowance the following month. Comes into this event on the back of a string of five furlong works and having drawn the rail looks capable of registering a victory with the drop in grade a positive.

Performed well at a much higher level finishing on the board in $25,000 claiming contests three times in the Fall including when beaten two-and-a-quarter-lengths into third over six furlongs here in November. Tackled wet tracks on all three subsequent starts including when a well held fifth over six-and-a-half furlongs in a $12,500 claimer on a sloppy track here earlier this month. Gets an easier contest here and is taken to provide trainer Jamie Ness with a winner.
3:31 pm Parx (Race 9) – Doctor Doom 5/2 (2-star play)
The winner of two of his last three starts the son of Hit It A Bomb showed he was up to performing at $25,000 claiming level when winning by one-and-a-half-lengths over six furlongs here just under a month ago. Extra distance here is no issue having broken his maiden over seven furlongs herein November. Veteran trainer John Servis has made a good start to this meet and his charge can help him improve on his 25% strike-rate (3/12).
