Completed a double when winning an allowance optional claiming race over a mile-and-a-sixteenth at Penn National back in July. Below that form in 4 starts since however but delivered a solid fourth-place finish in a $7,500 claiming contest on a good main track at this venue last month. Gets a drop in grade here and with Ruben Silvera taking over in the saddle the son of Stay Thirsty looks capable of registering a sixth career success.
2:10 pm Parx (Race 6) – Stevie T 2/1 (2-star play)
Has made just the 6 starts to date with all of those coming here including when winning a 7-furlong maiden special weight in August. Fair efforts in 2 of his 3 subsequent starts including when five-and-three-quarter-lengths fourth over a mile in a $25,000 claiming event last month. Gets an easier contest here and with the drop back to 7 furlongs a further positive he looks capable of registering a victory with apprentice Jose A Gomez taking 5lb off.
3:58 pm Parx (Race 10) – Peach Perfect 5/2 (2-star play)
Registered a string of placed efforts in allowance optional claiming contests at this venue last year including when runner-up over six-and-a-half-furlongs here 3 starts back. Well beaten third over a mile on a sloppy surface subsequently but put that effort behind her when delivering an impressive five-and-three-quarter-length victory in a mile event here last month. Regular pilot Frankie Pennington has made a good start to this meet with a 42% strike-rate (5/12) and he can partner the four-year-old to victory.
