The winner that day has gone in again since and dropping in grade he looks capable of providing jockey Frankie Pennington, who boasts a 22% strike-rate (106/480) at this meeting with a winner.

Put a couple of below par efforts behind him when finishing a neck second over this course and distance in a $5,000 claiming contest last month. Led in the stretch on that occasion and having performed well at a higher level when runner-up in a $10,000 claiming event here 4 starts back Scott Lake’s representative is selected to register a 14th career success receiving weight from most of his rivals here with useful apprentice Jeiron Barbosa booked to ride.
