Put a string of below par efforts behind him dropping to a $5,000 claiming contest to deliver a two-and-a-half-length victory in a nine horse contest over a mile-and-one-sixteenth here early last month. Had previously suffered a heavy defeat when never involved prior to finishing twenty-four-and-three-quarter-lengths 10th in a $10,000 claiming event here. Represents a top jockey/trainer combination in Frankie Pennington and Jamie Ness and looks capable of recording a 15th career success and a 12th at this circuit.
1:49 pm Parx (Race 3) – Expensive Cut 8/5 (2-star play)
Delivered an impressive four length victory having raced on the speed in a $50,000 claiming contest over a mile-and-one-sixteenth at Keeneland last month. Subsequently claimed by owner Jack J. Armstrong and while he’s yet to race at this venue he has drawn the rail here and representing a stable with a 28% strike-rate (13/47) at this meeting he looks likely to prove hard to beat receiving weight from all of his rivals with Edwin Rivera booked for the ride.

Shown good form in starter optional claiming events since winning by seven-and-a-half-lengths in a maiden claimer over this trip here back in November. Placed second at this level on her two starts since having blinkers and lasix applied including when beaten three-and-a-half-lengths over this trip here in March. Looks capable of confirming form with A Bit Bad N Boujee to register her second career success with Luis M Ocasio, on board last time out again in the saddle.
