3:40 pm Kentucky Downs (Race 8) – Mo Stash 4/1 (1-star play)
Race 8 on an outstanding Kentucky Downs card is a Grade 2 for three-year-olds over an extended six furlongs on the turf course and Grade 3 winner Mo Stash can gain his first victory at this level.
This son of Mo Town has a bit of class about him and that Grade 3 win came over a mile but he has the speed to win at this distance so it would not surprise should he make all of the running.
4:54 pm Kentucky Downs (Race 10) – Nobals 5/1 (1-star play)
A field of thirteen older horses are set to go to post for the Ainsworth Turf Sprint Stakes in which a case can be made for a good number of the runners but none more so than the Larry Rivelli trained Nobals.
He’s a multiple stakes race winner who comes into this with form figures of 112 from his last three starts in competitive events across the country and I am expecting a big effort here.
5:30 pm Kentucky Downs (Race 11) – Our Flash Drive 10/1 (1-star play)
The penultimate contest at Kentucky Downs is one for the female division with the Jonathan Thomas trained Bay Storm looking like she will be tough to beat so it can pay to look for place value and one who represents that is Our Flash Drive.
Mark Casse’s charge is a serial winner with two of her last three victories being in this grade so if John Velazquez can switch her off early then they can come with a big run in the stretch.
6:05 pm Kentucky Downs (Race 12) – Kitodan 12/1 (1-star play)
Eric Foster’s Kitodan is guaranteed to stay the distance in the valuable FanDuel Kentucky Turf Cup Stakes and he is taken to strike in the finale.
This four-year-old colt won here this time last year and will improve a good amount from a recent run at this course so it would be disappointing should he not figure especially off the back of some impressive workouts.
