The three-year-old failed to shine when eased in the stretch having been switched to the turf for a mile starter contest at Kentucky Downs subsequently. She advertised her well-being with a four furlong breeze at Turfway Park recently and looks capable of returning to the winners’ enclosure for trainer Mike Maker.
2:04 pm Keeneland (Race 3) – Like A Saltshaker 2/1 (2-star play)
Brittany A Vanden Berg’s gelding has shown good form since joining her winning three of his four starts including by three-and-three-quarter-lengths in a $10,000 starter contest over six furlongs at Churchill Downs last month. The pick had previously suffered his sole defeat for the handler when runner-up over the same trip in a $16,000 starter optional claimer and he looks up to completing a double with regular rider Christopher A Emigh in the saddle.
4:12 pm Keeneland (Race 7) – Inexorable 3/1 (2-star play)
The four-year-old showed ability in maiden special weight company last year including when third on a muddy track at Churchill Downs on debut. The gelding broke his maiden when awarded a $30,000 maiden claiming contest at Ellis Park at the end of July and duly followed up on his sole start for Robertino Diodoro in a seven furlong $30,000 claimer at Churchill Downs last month. The pick delivered a nine-and-a-quarter-length triumph that day and looks up to following up.
